Trauma Sensitive Yoga Classes

Individual and small group sessions are available face
to face at a studio in Maroubra.

Conveniently located walking distance from Maroubra Junction with nearby parking and public transport options. 

These individual sessions and small groups (maximum of 4 participants) offer a safe, supportive space for individuals to develop psychological skills whilst practicing Yoga.

You are not expected to discuss your history, but are welcome to book in for individual Counselling at any time. These classes guide you to be better able to be present, notice and tend to your needs, and draw in the support of a collective group space.

What To Expect

  • A free 15 minute phone conversation to check in, talk about expectations and answer any questions you may have (not compulsory).

  • Trauma Informed Yoga is based on gentle movement, with emphasis on the internal experience, rather than the postures and technique. The goal is to explore and nurture the inner self as you breathe and move. 

  • Increasing presence, helps restore the connection between mind, body and emotions, empowering participants to make decisions that will guide their personal healing.

  • No hands-on assists or adjustments without prior permission.

  • All aspects are optional and invitational language is always used.

  • No need to talk to others in group classes.
